Service Dog Training Programs in Greater Cincinnati & Northern Kentucky
Raise the Bar Dog Training is now offering a premier service dog training program in Cincinnati, OH and the surrounding areas.
We prepare service dog teams for real-world reliability throughout Greater Cincinnati. Public access manners and task training are proofed in high-distraction, dog-friendly environments such as Kenwood Towne Centre, Findlay Market, Washington Park in Over-the-Rhine, and local transit centers.
Serving dog owners across Hamilton County, Butler County, Warren County, and Northern Kentucky communities including Covington, Newport, and Florence.
Financial Assistance May Be Available
Eligible veterans, service members, and military families may qualify for financial assistance through Semper Fi & America’s Fund to help with the cost of service dog training and care.
Funding is based on eligibility and is not guaranteed.
What type of service dogs do we train:
Psychiatric Service Dog Training
We help dog owners with depression, anxiety and PTSD. These dogs will provide comfort to their handler with a disability in everyday life and new, or stressful situations.
Mobility Support Service Training
We help individuals become more mobile with a trained service dog, whether they have issues walking, are wheelchair bound, etc.
Your Dog Will Be Trained to Perform:
- Deep Pressure Therapy
- Medication Retrieval
- Behavior Interruption
- Blocking Others
Our requirements to enter the service dog training program:
- Must go through basic obedience training
- Must pass a temperament test
- Pass a public access test
- Mobility support requirement: Dog must be 40% of their owners height and 50% of their owners weight
Once the dog passes the public access test, task work training begins.
